My Personal Story
Growing up in public housing of Peoria, Illinois infused a sense of purpose in my life, and taught me how to endure tough times. As a child, I was overweight, and an underachiever. I worked hard on the football field, and even harder in the classroom, and was able to reach my dream of graduating from college.
After being released by the Miami Dolphins, I returned home to Peoria, and began working as a mentor for disadvantaged youth. While employed full time, I pursued a Masters degree in Human Resources, as well as working as a speech instructor for the college.
After receiving my Masters degree, I accepted a position with Eli Lilly and Company as a pharmaceutical sales representative, and was able to achieve the Top Sales Person Award for my district. As much as I enjoyed the challenge, I did not believe this was my destiny. While working full time with Eli Lilly and Company, I earned my Law Degree, and began my career as an attorney, working for the Indiana Attorney General as a Deputy in the Consumer Protection Division, where I prosecuted a number of corporations and individuals who violated the Consumer laws of Indiana.
In January 2001, I took over as Deputy Prosecutor for Madison County, in the State of Indiana. I fought for the children of Madison County against "Dead-Beat Parents". I implemented an overhaul of collection procedures, and streamlined the system for an optimal percent of payments. I took "Dead-Beat Parents", who refused to pay child support to court. After fighting for the disadvantaged as a prosecutor, I saw an obvious need for a defense attorney, who would do the same, in the Anderson area. I wanted to use my knowledge of the law coupled with my experience to help those who had legal problems, but did not know where to turn.
I offer my services at affordable rates, along with payment plans to help the financially troubled. I would like to help guide you in the right direction, and help you understand your constitutional rights.
